Terms and Conditions of Membership

Who We Are

For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, Kimbolton Connects refers to Philip King from Silver Websites, Natasha Armstrong from The Flying Foodie and Beacon Wealth Management Limited.

Membership Overview

Becoming a member of Kimbolton Connects entitles you to a listing on the Kimbolton Connects page. Membership is subject to an annual fee, which is invoiced by Philip King of Silver Websites trading as Kimbolton Online. Payment is required via bank transfer.

We reserve the right to adjust the annual membership fee each year, based on changes to the Consumer Price Index over the previous 12 months, rounded up to the nearest £10 where applicable. Invoices must be paid within 7 days of receipt. To remain an active member, payment must be received each year by the renewal date. Invoices will be issued one month before the renewal date, and reminder notices will be sent accordingly. If payment is not received within 14 days of the renewal date, we reserve the right to terminate the membership at our discretion. We also reserve the right not to renew a membership for any reason.

The meetings will initially be free to attend, but we reserve the right to introduce an attendance fee in the future (including making soft drinks and snacks available) and we will inform members of the group before doing so.

In addition to the membership fee (which secures your category and online listing) you will be required to attend and pay any meeting fees when attending meetings.

Participation in one-off additional events such as a special summer event may attract different fees and are entirely optional to attend outside of the usual monthly meeting. Where possible meetings will be at The Sun Inn or other venue in Kimbolton but may need to change from time to time.

Listings and Updates

Each member is responsible for supplying the images and details used in their listing. Members may request up to three listing updates per year by emailing Silver Websites. All updates will be made in good faith.

Use of Information

Information provided by members may be used by Kimbolton Connects for relevant communications only. We do not verify the accuracy of listing content submitted by members.

Eligibility

Membership is intended for businesses and organisations based in, serving, or actively involved in the Kimbolton area. Acceptance of membership is not automatic and will be determined by Kimbolton Connects.

Group Values

Kimbolton Connects exists to support local businesses and organisations by creating a welcoming and respectful environment. We reserve the right to cancel any membership, without refund, if a member acts disrespectfully toward others or the group as a whole.

Professional Categories

Each member must represent a unique profession or organisation type. We aim to avoid overlap in core offerings. However, we may permit complementary services within similar sectors (e.g. an employment law solicitor and a commercial solicitor may both be accepted). Decisions regarding overlaps are made at our discretion.

Meetings

Meetings are expected to take place every four weeks and will be bookable via a booking form on our website. Visitors may attend two meetings before being asked to join as a member. Once a member, you will be added to a WhatsApp group and other relevant social media groups unless you request otherwise.

Communication

By joining our database, members agree to be contacted by us via email, phone, or written communication solely for matters relating to the group or website listing on Kimbolton Online. References to website hereafter reference the listing in the Kimbolton Connects section of Kimbolton Online.

Misuse and Conduct

Any misuse of the website or related social media will result in immediate removal and termination of membership without refund. Website-related complaints should be directed to Kimbolton Connects. We do not handle complaints concerning individual businesses – these should be taken up with the business directly.

Disclaimer

Inclusion on this website does not imply endorsement of any company, product, or service. Members and visitors are responsible for confirming event details or business availability. We accept no liability for reliance on information found on the website.

Membership Requirements

Each member must represent a core business area that either is their main focus or forms a significant part of their activities. Only one primary category may be promoted by each member. If a member wishes to represent a different area of business, permission must be sought from Kimbolton Connects or the group facilitator.

Attendance

Members are expected to attend most meetings. While the membership is for the business or organisation, a different representative may attend if needed. However, we recommend the same individual attends regularly to foster stronger connections.

If a member is absent from four or more meetings within a 12-month period, we reserve the right to terminate the membership. Kimbolton Connects is not required to give a reason for termination.

Termination of Membership

If a member chooses to end their membership, no refunds will be issued. Similarly, if Kimbolton Connects terminates a membership, no refunds will be given. In the event of any conflict or complaint, please contact us directly. Each case will be considered individually and outcomes will not set a precedent.

Online and Venue Changes

In some circumstances, meetings may need to be held online. We reserve the right to change the venue or platform for meetings as necessary.

Leaving Kimbolton Connects

Members may cancel their membership at any time, but no refund will be made for any remaining portion of the membership period.

Force Majeure

Kimbolton Connects will not be held liable for failure to hold a meeting due to unforeseen events beyond our control, including natural disasters, pandemics, acts of war, government actions, or utility service failures.

Liability Disclaimer

Kimbolton Connects is not responsible for any business or personal arrangements, contracts, or issues that arise between members or visitors as a result of introductions made at meetings. All parties must independently assess the qualifications, reliability, and suitability of those they choose to work with.
