Our Purpose

Kimbolton Connects is all about having an encouraging environment for local professionals and community members to build relationships, share ideas, and grow together. We focus on genuine, friendly conversations, and not hard sells.

Who It's For

This group is for:

  • Business owners or employees with a strong local connection to Kimbolton
  • Charities and community organisations active in the area

Members should be based in, serve, or have a meaningful connection to Kimbolton.

How the Meetings Work

Our networking evenings take place every four weeks at The New Sun Inn in Kimbolton, on a Thursday evening. The format is relaxed and structured just enough to help conversations flow:

  • 7:00pm: Arrive and settle in and buy a drink from the bar
  • 7:20pm: Quick 10-second introductions around the room
  • 7:40pm: A 10-minute "getting to know you" slot for one of the members
  • 7:50pm: A second 10-minute "getting to know you" slot for another member.
  • 8:00–8:15pm: Break (and top up drinks?)
  • 8:15–8:50pm: Group activity (varies each time – e.g. speed networking)
  • 8:50pm: Wrap-up and share any upcoming local events

Whilst we're launching we're not charging an attendance fee, instead we encourage attendees to support the pub by purchasing a drink at the bar.

The "getting to know you" member slots can be a presentation from the member or a Q&A session for members who prefer that.

We'll be limiting numbers to 20 people at each meeting.

Membership

Membership includes the following benefits:

  • A dedicated listing on the Kimbolton Connects section of the Kimbolton Online website. Your listing can include your logo, photos, business description, contact details, special offers, and more..
  • An opportunity to give a 10-minute presentation at a future meeting.
  • Access to the Kimbolton Connects WhatsApp group for ongoing support and connection between meetings.
  • Access to dedicated social media group(s) for further support/connection.

We operate a one member per profession policy to avoid overlap and ensure a supportive environment for all members. Complementary professions may be considered at our discretion.

Pricing

Membership is offered at a nominal rate:

  • £50 per year for the first 10 members
  • £75 per year for all subsequent members

Members and visitors will need to book their slot at the meeting by filling in the form on the website.

If we introduce an attendance fee (e.g. £10) in the future (including making soft drinks and snacks available) we will inform members of the group before doing so.

Guest Attendance

Visitors are welcome to attend up to 2 meetings as a guest before committing to membership .  If you sign up as a member in advance you can reserve your space and lock out your competition.
